FAQ

Questions, answered.

Add your water-based or alcohol-based perfume directly into the water chamber — about 10 drops is a good starting point. Adjust the amount based on your personal scent preference; some may prefer fewer drops, others more. The scent mixes with the water and diffuses through the bubbles. The water chamber is made of PC (polycarbonate), which is resistant to alcohol-based liquids. Only water-based and alcohol-based perfumes should go into the water. For oil-based perfumes, use the natural carrier pad system.

Most water-based and alcohol-based perfumes work well. Higher-quality perfumes tend to disperse more evenly and last longer. If your perfume is very thick or oily, use the carrier pad mode instead.

Based on our testing, a noticeable scent lasts 20–30 days minimum. It does not disappear completely — it gradually becomes lighter over time. When you feel the scent has softened, simply add more perfume or essential oil to refresh it.

The UV-C light is fully enclosed inside the device and operates within safe parameters. It uses UV-C light technology as part of the air care system. There is no direct UV exposure to users.

The piezoelectric pump operates below 25dB — quieter than a whisper. The bubble sound is approximately 30dB, similar to a quiet library. The bubble sound acts as a natural white noise — many users find it calming. Unlike electronic white noise played through a speaker, icuktaa's sound is 100% natural, created by real air bubbles breaking through water.

We recommend changing the water at least once a month. You can decide based on the water's clarity — when it looks cloudy, it's time for a change.

While in use, icuktaa is powered by USB-C — so it runs continuously. When disconnected, the whaley activates smart detection and rests. On a full charge, the battery retains 30+ days of standby.

Only minimally. While in use, icuktaa draws power from USB-C. When you disconnect power, the whaley automatically rests. It does not continue drawing power when disconnected.

Absolutely. Many users will enjoy icuktaa purely for the air care, bubble white noise, and ambient lighting — without adding any scent.

Each unit comes with 1 natural carrier pad. Replacement packs will be available on icuktaa.com after the campaign. The pads are natural, unscented, and inexpensive.

Simply empty the water, rinse with clean water, and let it dry. The whaley insert is removable for easy cleaning. We recommend a deep clean once a month.
